MANILA, Philippines – Telecommunications giant PLDT, Smart Communications, Inc. and the MVP Sports Foundation (MVPSF) have boosted their support for Filipino athletes by recently unveiling a world-class training facility for gymnasts.
Located in the Intramuros Complex in Manila, the 2,300 square meter MVPSF Gymnastics Center will be equipped to train national athletes in artistic, aerobic and trampoline gymnastics. A large tent outside the building will be erected for the rhythmic gymnastics team.
It will also house the office of the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines (GAP), conference rooms, a lounge, lockers, coach rooms, a clinic, a cafe and even a wellness meditation area. athletes during training.
“Our investments in the country’s athletic development pay off when we see our athletes perform at their best while representing the Philippines on the world stage. The victories they achieve and the pride they bring to our country are priceless,” said PLDT President Manuel V. Pangilinan, who is also President and Administrator of MVPSF.
